Ahiyapur police have recovered altogether 125 ATM cards of North Bihar Grameen Kshetriya Bank, which had been looted from a bank employee under Turkaulia police station in East Champaran district four days back.

Muzaffarpur: Ahiyapur police have recovered altogether 125 ATM cards of North Bihar Grameen Kshetriya Bank, which had been looted from a bank employee under Turkaulia police station in East Champaran district four days back. All the looted ATM cards were being carried in a Scorpio with Odisha number plate which was going to some destination towards NH-57 linking Muzaffarpur with Darbhanga from Motihari.

All the three passengers of the vehicle escaped when police stopped it for checking but the driver was arrested. During interrogation, the driver divulged the names of all the three persons saying he was engaged by them for travelling to north Bihar. The three persons belong to an area under Madhuban police station area in East Champaran district.
Altogether 150 ATM cards and Rs 5,000 cash from a staff of Grahak Seva Kendra of the bank was looted when he was going to submit them to the bank, meant for distribution among customers.
Giving this information on Thursday, Muzaffarpur SSP Ranjeet Kumar Mishra said East Champaran police have been given details of information given by the arrested driver. Champaran police have started raids on the possible hideouts of the three criminals, he said.
